TrUnion-OCAP Appraiser Assistant Education Scholarship 2018
The Ohio Coalition of Appraisal Professionals (OCAP) and TrUnion Appraisal Services is proud to announce the TrUnion-OCAP Appraiser Assistant Education Scholarship for 2018. Aspiring appraisers, appraiser trainees and licensed appraisers are eligible to apply. You do not need to be a member of OCAP to submit an application.
The application package will be accepted from May 1st, 2018 – May 30th, 2018. This scholarship is meant to help individuals trying to attain the specific educational requirements to become licensed and/or certified with the State of Ohio Division of Real Estate as a Real Estate Appraiser.
Applicants must submit TWO letters of recommendation. One must be from a current OCAP member in good standing and include an essay outlining the applicants financial need, background and goals the applicant must meet to become an appraisal professional. Preference will be given to applicants who are able to attend the OCAP 2018 Summer Seminar on June 19th, 2018” says Ron Stickelman, CEO of TrUnion.
TrUnion Appraisal Services has graciously committed, in a cooperative effort with OCAP, to fund a $1,200 per year scholarship through 2020 to help candidates struggling to achieve the necessary educational requirements needed for State licensing/certification. “We hope this will also ease the burden to Appraiser’s considering mentoring and/or taking on apprentices”, says Ron Stickelman, CEO of TrUnion.
Your application helps TrUnion Appraisal Services and OCAP address the need to draw new appraisers to the profession at a time when the appraisal profession has seen challenges in growth. We are committed to doing everything possible to help the Appraisal industry grow. This scholarship is just another step in that direction.
When we say it, we mean it. “Appraisers helping Appraisers”. Submissions should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
